Detoxification and Energy

Today, a client asked me what supplements or vitamins
I would recommend to increase her energy. She's
healthy and happy with her life, but just doesn't
bounce out of bed like she used to, and she runs out
of steam by four pm. Although there are a few
products I really like -- and I'm a big believer in
getting enough protein -- my sense was that she'd
benefit the most by detoxification. In other words,
optimum energy would be gained from what was
eliminated, not added!

Colonics allow the body to flush waste from not only
the colon, but the liver, gall bladder and lymph
system. Professional lymph massage is an incredible
detoxifier. The vitality I've seen clients claim
after a series of lymph massage, plus colonics, has
done wonders to stimulate metabolism, help balance the
hormones, and allow a whole new level of mental and
physical vitality. The Center for Lymphatic Health,
here in Santa Barbara, is an excellent resource.

"Less is more" applies not only to our lifestyles but
our health regimes! The next time you're feeling slow
and fuzzy-headed, try some form of detox: a salt
bath, skin brushing, five minutes on a
trampoline....or a colonic!

Julia Loggins CCH

Hi! I'm Julia Loggins and I'm excited to have the
opportunity to share with you on-line! It's the
perfect medium for us to stay current with each
other...and for me to share what I've learned and am
learning in my private practice as a colon therapist
and health educator.

Because everything associated with colonics -- poop,
our bottoms, our rectums, our private parts -- is so
charged and taboo in our society -- as modern and
open-minded as we are! that anyone who walks in my
door has already made a commitment to care more deeply
for themselves and their health than what their
childhood histories or past experiences in life
allow...to let go of what the neighbor might think,
let alone the voices in their own head! This allows
our colonic session to be so much more than just the
cleansing of waste and toxicity, but a space to feel
and think and talk about everything in life....a safe
space to heal, to let go of the past -- on every level
-- and truly reclaim who we are and who we were born
to be.

So in my blog, I'll talk about that journey, fueled by
my passion for writing, for connection and for faith.
I'll share how all of that shapes and impacts my
mothering my 10-year-old daughter, Hana, and my
14-year-old-son Luke, such a huge focus of my life --
as long as they let me say things out loud! Having a
mom that does colonics is every day to them, but we'll
see how they feel about a mom that's baring her soul
-- the good, the bad, the gorgeous and the gross -- in
a blog! Thanks for joining me. Buckle your
seatbelts......Julia
